• Client: Princes Foods
  • Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
  • Project: Drainage and Groundworks
  • Value: £3m
  • Duration: 50 weeks
  • Description:

The scheme was planned at 13 weeks but it soon became apparent we would be there considerably longer as there was a number of un-identified services below ground which were either live, redundant or uncharted.

We had to re-design the Pipex pipe runs and manholes, which impacted on the schedule and created design, delivery and installation delays.

We also took on board some additional works for the recycling, all drainage, and the citric tank areas which again consisted of below ground drainage and above ground stainless steel catch trays and pits due to the sugar content of the products being used.

Summary of scope of works:
  • Replacement of existing trade waste pipework
  • Purpose built manholes
  • Relaying surface drainage
  • Relaying tarmac or concrete finishes in all areas
  • Installing stainless steel drainage and catch pits
  • Protecting/slewing or lowering cables and ducts
