• Client: ENER-G
  • Location: Wolverhampton
  • Project: New build energy generation plant
  • Value: £1.4m
  • Duration: 43 weeks
  • Description:

A technically challenging Design & Build Project. Following initial Client scoping, we developed the design through our in-house pre-construction team. Our company partner, HBPW developed the civil and structural design.

The scheme required close liaison and communication with three neighbouring businesses which bound the site and agreeing access across 3rd party land. This, together with a close working relationship with the client and a constructive approach to addressing challenges as they arose, were key factors to the success of this project.

Summary of scope of works:
  •  Architectural and Engineering design development
  • Land locked site requiring neighbour liaison
  • Ground remediation
  • Substructure and foundations
  • Structural slabs built over existing mine workings
  • Structural frame, brickwork, roofing and cladding
  • Internal finishes
  • New sub-station and transformer base
  • External hard standings and drainage
  • Plinths and bases for a 30m flue and 8 external radiators
