• Client: Asda
  • Location: Wakefield
  • Project: Store extension and shop floor remodel
  • Value: £6.2m
  • Duration: 18 weeks
  • Description:

This project comprised several different challenges as the store continued uninterrupted trading for the full duration of the project. This required very detailed planning and programming to keepminimise any disruption minimised. The scope of works included PFA grouting of mine shafts, site strip and preparation, groundworks and a foul pumping station. Construction involved an extension to the front elevation and the new build of a ‘pod’ unit for all colleague areas.

We also completed a full shop floor and back-of-house refurbishment including M&E replacement, kitchen relocation, cash office works and the construction of a temporary ‘village’ to accommodate concession businesses and maintain trading.
